LET'S TALK: why natural wine?

We’re made to believe that wine is this all-natural beverage made solely from grape juice. Sadly, this is no longer the case.

There are 76 FDA-approved

additives for wine,

Most of which are not required to be listed anywhere on the label.

Dyes, acids, flavorings, preservatives, sterilizers (like hydrogen peroxide), animal products (like gelatin and fish bladders), and many other chemicals you don’t even want to try to pronounce (like poly-vinyl-poly-pyrrolidone) are allowed in wine.

No other product on the market is allowed to be so secretive about its ingredients.

Thankfully, we have natural wine.

01.

Natural wine is

made sustainably.

Natural wine is made from grapes that were farmed organically (at the very least). Eco-friendly, sustainable, biodynamic, & regenerative farming practices are always a top priority.

02.

Natural wine is free

of chemicals.

There is a common myth that sulfites (sulfur dioxide) are what causes peoples' wine headaches, but in reality, a person could be sensitive to any one of the 76 additives allowed in wine.

03.

Natural wine is

better for our health.

Compared to conventional wine, natural wine has a much greater concentration of antioxidants, wild yeast, and probiotic bacteria which are filled with medicinal benefits.
